Full Job Description

Skills

Java,J2EE,Oracle Net 8,SQL,PL/SQL,Data Warehousing,ETL,Unix/Sun Solaris,Oracle Designer/2000,

Scope of Work

Creation of design specifications and models. Development of Web and Java/J2EE based applications Unit and integration, testing. Investigation into and resolution of reported defects.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
Experience with performance tuning and optimization of databases.
Experience with PL/SQL queries and stored procedures.
Knowledge of the Unix/Sun Solaris environment.
Experience with Oracle 10g and above.
Experience developing and implementing canned reports using standardized reporting tools.
Experience scripting ad hoc queries/reports.
Experience with Windows servers.
At least three (3) years experience in design, development, testing, implementation, enhancement and support of new applications in a JAVA/Oracle environment.
At least three (3) years experience performing application testing using automated test tools.
At least three (3) years of experience in defining and implementing web services.
A working knowledge of industry standards and best practices, including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the PMI.

Desirable Qualifications

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience in Oracle 11g and Real Application Clusters (RAC).
Knowledge and ability to analyze the existing database for potential database performance enhancements.
Experience establishing and attaining project goals.
Use of WSDL and Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) standards to develop web services.
Experience on development projects deploying applications in a Unix/Sun Solaris server environment.
Experience on development projects using J2EE Web database applications utilizing Java Server Pages, Servlets, Java Beans, Struts, Custom Tags, Tag Libraries, and Hibernate.
