Rumi's Kitchen is currently seeking exceptional Server & Bartender candidates to join our team at our soon-to-open Century City location!

Located at the Westfield Century City overlooking Santa Monica Blvd, Rumi’s Kitchen is a modern Persian dining experience rooted in genuine hospitality, culinary excellence, and meaningful human connection. Our service philosophy is built on warmth, precision, professionalism, and the belief that hospitality is both an art and a craft.

Rumi’s Kitchen first opened more than a 20 years ago in Atlanta, the result of years of development by chef/owner Ali Meshgali. With three locations throughout the greater Atlanta area, as well as Washington DC and Houston, Rumi’s Kitchen show cases the flavors of Iran and has quickly won loyal guests throughout the country. We are excited to introduce our newest and first Los Angeles location — a brand-new restaurant opening in Century City in late July 2026, with team training beginning in early to mid July.

Our restaurants are built around a chef-driven culture with an emphasis on refined hospitality, exceptional ingredients, thoughtful culinary execution, and eclectic wine and beverage selections. We are seeking experienced, hospitality-driven servers who are passionate about creating memorable guest experiences and who thrive in a fast-paced, refined, high-performance dining environment.

This is an opportunity to join an opening team dedicated to elevating Persian cuisine while helping establish one of Los Angeles’ premier dining experiences from the ground up. We are looking for individuals who move with intention, communicate with confidence, and understand the importance of detail, timing, teamwork, and guest recognition.

Position Summary

Servers at Rumi’s Kitchen are responsible for delivering attentive, personalized, and unobtrusive service while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and hospitality. Ideal candidates possess strong food and beverage knowledge, emotional intelligence, a sense of urgency, and a genuine passion for guest care.

Bartenders at Rumi’s Kitchen are responsible for delivering elevated beverage service while creating an engaging and welcoming guest experience. Ideal candidates possess strong cocktail knowledge, polished service standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining warmth and professionalism.

These roles are best suited for hospitality professionals who take pride in excellence, thrive in fast-paced environments, and are committed to growth, accountability, and teamwork. Cross training encouraged.

Responsibilities

Provide warm, knowledgeable, and attentive service throughout the guest experience
Guide guests through menu selections, chef specialties, Persian cuisine, cocktail offerings, wine selections, and beverage pairings
Anticipate guest needs and create memorable dining experiences through personalized hospitality
Maintain detailed knowledge of all food, wine, spirits, beer, and specialty beverage offerings
Accurately enter and communicate guest orders, modifications, allergies, and dietary restrictions to culinary and bar teams
Execute proper fine dining steps of service, pacing, coursing, and table maintenance
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of dining areas, service stations, and tables before, during, and after service
Collaborate professionally with team members to ensure seamless operations and service execution
Adhere to all sanitation, workplace safety, responsible alcohol service, and company policies
Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues appropriately when necessary
Maintain composure, professionalism, and efficiency during high-volume service periods
Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages to recipe and presentation standards
Maintain detailed knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty beverages
Guide guests through cocktail and wine selections with confidence and professionalism
Ensure bar cleanliness, organization, stocking, and sanitation standards are consistently maintained
Accurately enter orders and communicate effectively with service and culinary teams
Monitor responsible alcohol service and adhere to all California alcohol service laws
Maintain composure and efficiency during high-volume service periods
Contribute to a collaborative and team-oriented environment

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of serving experience in an upscale, high-volume, or fine dining restaurant preferred
Strong hospitality mindset with a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences
Professional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
Strong food, wine, cocktail, and beverage knowledge preferred
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mentality
Ability to move with urgency while maintaining attention to detail and service standards
Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, preferred

Valid California Food Handler Card
Valid RBS Certification/Number (or ability to obtain prior to employment)
Valid Sexual Harassment Prevention Training Certificate (or ability to obtain prior to employment)
