US SPACE FORCE · JOINT COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS · REMOTE · FULLY REMOTE
Operators need answers fast — and the data to support those answers is spread across commercial imagery, RF feeds, maritime tracking, environmental sensors, social media, and government repositories. As a Collection Analytics Analyst supporting the US Space Force's Joint Commercial Operations cell, you are the person who finds the signal, identifies the gaps, and gets the right information to the right operator before the window closes. This is a fully remote position open to US citizens.
Supporting the US Space Force's Joint Commercial Operations (JCO) cell as part of the TACSRT program, you'll serve as a full-time shift analyst providing search, aggregation, retrieval, and collection analytics across a broad range of commercial and government data sources. Your role is to help JCO operators rapidly find, fuse, and act on information — from overhead imagery and RF data to maritime AIS, fire feeds, social media, and historical operational products. Where data or coverage is missing, you surface that gap explicitly so follow-on collection can be tasked. You operate remotely via teleconference platforms during your assigned shift window, embedded in the live operational environment and taking direction from the JCO Site Lead.
SOURCE-DERIVED ROLE SUMMARY
The Provider shall utilize its analytical services and SME(s) in support of search, aggregation, retrieval, and collection analysis across operations to provide insight on space and terrestrial objects, events, and context associated with nominated activities, prioritizing any that may be consistent with a potential threat. Where coverage is incomplete, the provider shall explicitly identify what data or analytics are missing, in order to support follow-on tactical collection requirements.
✓Monitor the JCO operational chat and teleconference continuously throughout your 8-hour shift; acknowledge taskers within 30 minutes and brief your planned course-of-action with timelines
✓Interpret natural language queries from JCO operators; search across USG data repositories and commercial feeds — including imagery, RF data, AIS, weather, fire data, news, and social media — to generate concise summaries of findings
✓Conduct real-time research on blue, red, and gray overhead collection capabilities, data, and analytical results to build contextual awareness for ongoing operations
✓Enable rapid tip-and-cue operations across providers — surfacing technical details on activities, personnel, or objects that may affect ongoing operational activities
✓Identify data and analytic coverage gaps explicitly so operators can task follow-on collection with the right requirements
✓Provide behavioral analysis support based on publicly available information; conduct mission-focused open research as operational tempo allows
✓Publish data and processed products to JCO-designated databases in compliant formats; submit products machine-to-machine via designated submission services
MISSION IMPACT
JCO operators make time-critical decisions about collection tasking, threat prioritization, and operational activities. Your ability to rapidly surface, fuse, and contextualize data from across the commercial and government landscape — and to explicitly flag what's missing — directly shapes the quality of those decisions.
GEO OWL IMPACT
This role establishes Geo Owl's presence and performance in the Space Force's Joint Commercial Operations ecosystem — a rapidly growing domain at the intersection of commercial data, multi-domain operations, and AI-enabled analytics.
YOUR GROWTH
You'll build hands-on expertise in commercial data fusion, multi-source collection analytics, and AI-assisted query tools in a live operational environment — skills increasingly central to the future of defense intelligence and multi-domain operations.
- Interpret and respond to natural language queries from JCO operators; search, aggregate, retrieve, and summarize relevant data and analytics from commercial and government sources
- Conduct real-time research on overhead collection capabilities, data, and analytical results — covering blue, red, and gray activities — to compile contextual awareness products for operators
- Enable rapid tip-and-cue operations by surfacing relevant details on activities, personnel, and objects that affect ongoing operational tasking
- Explicitly identify data and analytic coverage gaps in query responses, enabling operators to generate informed follow-on collection requirements
- Operate assigned licensed data platforms and web portals to query available databases; integrate search and retrieval tools into JCO application interfaces
- Provide behavioral analysis support based on publicly available information; conduct mission-focused open research in support of daily JCO operations
- Publish all data and processed products to JCO-designated databases in compliant formats; submit products machine-to-machine via designated primary and secondary submission services
- Support training familiarization sessions on search, aggregation, retrieval, and collection procedures and best practices for JCO operators on a monthly basis
✓US citizenship required
✓Demonstrated experience in search, aggregation, retrieval, and analysis across multi-source data environments — including commercial imagery, RF data, AIS, open-source, social media, and/or environmental feeds
✓Experience conducting real-time or near-real-time research and analysis in a live operational or watch-floor environment
✓Ability to interpret natural language operational queries and translate them into structured data searches across heterogeneous sources
✓Experience with publicly available information (PAI) research and behavioral analysis
✓Ability to work a defined shift schedule (Monday–Friday, 8.5 hours including 30-minute break) and maintain continuous chat/teleconference presence during shift hours
✓Reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable remote work environment capable of supporting secure teleconference operations
✓Strong written communication skills; ability to produce concise, well-structured analytical summaries under operational time pressure
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with commercial EO and SAR imagery exploitation, AIS maritime tracking, or RF data analysis
- Familiarity with US Space Force, Space Command, or combatant command (CCMD) operational environments
- Experience integrating commercial data feeds into analytical workflows or API-connected platforms
- Experience with AI-assisted or LLM-based query and search tools in an analytical context
- Experience supporting tip-and-cue operations or collection management in a joint or interagency environment
- GEOINT Professional Certification – Fundamentals (GPC-F) or equivalent intelligence tradecraft certification

- You thrive on a watch floor — you're alert, responsive, and keep your composure when multiple taskers hit at once
- You think in data landscapes — you know where to look across commercial and government sources and how to triangulate across feeds when no single source has the full picture
- You flag gaps as clearly as you surface findings — telling an operator what you couldn't find, and why, is just as valuable as the answer
- You write fast and clearly — under operational pressure, your summaries are concise, structured, and immediately useful to the operator who asked
- You're self-directed and disciplined working remotely — you maintain shift presence, stay engaged in the operational chat, and manage your own time without needing supervision
✔ GREAT FIT
You are an experienced multi-source analyst or OSINT professional who is energized by live operational environments and comfortable working remotely across a defined shift. You want your analytical work to support real decisions in real time — and you're disciplined enough to own that responsibility.
✘ MAY NOT BE FOR YOU
This may not be the right fit if you prefer asynchronous, self-paced research without shift accountability, or if you're looking for a role that focuses on finished long-form intelligence products rather than rapid operational response.
This role puts you at the operational edge of the US Space Force's commercial data integration mission — a domain growing rapidly in scope, funding, and strategic importance. You'll build hands-on proficiency across an exceptionally broad range of commercial and government data sources, develop expertise in AI-assisted query and retrieval tools, and gain direct operational experience supporting combatant command missions. For analysts who want to stay at the cutting edge of how multi-source data is used in live operations, this is a distinctive and career-building position.
