Full Job Description

Company Overview

Pantheon Data (a Kenific Holding company) is a private, small business based in the Washington, DC, area. Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Our service offerings have grown in the past ten years, including infrastructure resiliency, contact center operations, information technology, software engineering, program management, strategic communications, engineering, and cybersecurity. We have also grown our customer base to include commercial clients. The company has used this experience to expand our service offerings to other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Defense (DoD), and other Federal Civilian Agencies.

Position Overview

Pantheon Data is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior-Level Marine Electronics Engineer with experience in Exterior Communications Systems to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG)'s Ship Design Team in Washington, DC. An ideal candidate will have prior experience developing and integrating systems involving electromagnetic energy transmission for purposes including sensor processing, remote sensing, communications, guidance and control, information processing, navigation and defense applications.

Responsibilities

Apply knowledge of and experience with engineering principles and techniques, to develop and evaluate moderately complex technical reports related to application of C5I systems onboard USCG ships.
Review and evaluate the effect of new and/or modified electronics on overall system performance.
Review and adjudicate system design specifications, test requirements, Departures from Specification (DFS's), Request for Waiver (RFW), Engineering Changes (EC's).

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in System Architecture, Electronics, Electrical, Marine Engineering, or another relevant technical, engineering, or a marine discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.
At least six (8) years of recent, relevant professional experience developing and integrating systems involving electromagnetic energy transmissions for sensor processing, remote sensing, communication, guidance and control, information processing, navigation, and defense applications.
Familiarity with USN, USCG, ABS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.
Proficient with common productivity software.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Master's degree in System Architecture, Electronics, Marine Engineering, or another relevant technical, engineering, or marine discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.
Prior experience with DoD ACAT I or DHS Level I shipbuilding programs.
Additional certifications, such as PMP, DHS Systems Engineering Certification, or DHS Program Management Certifications.

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location: Hybrid - USCG HQ (DHS St. Elizabeth's Campus in D.C.) (at least 3 days/week)

Alternate telework schedules or work locations may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates.

Travel:Up to 10% travel to CONUS locations is anticipated for ship checks.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
