Full Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to sets up, operate, and troubleshoot Automatic mail inserting and inject machines. Responsible for ensuring production meets and/or exceeds expectation for productivity, timeliness, and quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up and adjust the machine to operate efficiently.
Oversee output and adjust, as necessary.
Monitor mail inserting machines to ensure all pieces meet established mailing/quality standards.
Ensure that the correct production materials are being used and put away upon completion of job.
Complete production records accurately using computer system.
Balance trays against documentation to ensure correct count.
Demonstrate an understanding of production schedules and priorities
Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating the equipment. Ability to identify if improper machine operation and make basic adjustments.
Follow standard operating procedures to verify mail quality and document integrity.
Complete required record keeping and participate in cross-training.
Knowledge of USPS regulations and mailing standards.
All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

HS diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Good organizational skills
Ability to solve mechanical problems, interpret instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form
Computer literate, able to work with basic Windows computer application (startup, shutdown, point & click, read, and understand graphs and data presented on screen

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to warehouse equipment, dust, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, hazardous materials, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
