Sales Operations Manager

Nassau County, NY · On-site, Full-Time · Confidential Search

About the opportunity

A well-established, growing multi-state services business is hiring a Sales Operations Manager to lead our inside sales team through the next phase of growth. We have a talented, hardworking sales team that is producing real revenue every day. What we need is a leader who can take a good team and build a great one — someone who brings structure, coaching depth, and operational discipline to elevate the entire function.

This is not a role for someone who wants to inherit a broken team and turn it around from zero. This is a role for someone who wants to walk into a functioning group with real potential and take it to a level it has not yet reached.

What you’ll do

Lead an established inside sales team day-to-day, on the floor, in the moment — not from a distance.
Coach reps in real time — listen to calls, work alongside the team, sharpen sales technique and objection handling, and develop the next tier of talent.
Own performance measurement and accountability. Bring analytical rigor to how the team is measured and how results are diagnosed.
Build the operational systems, processes, and scorecards a growing sales team needs — including where those systems don’t yet exist.
Recruit, hire, and develop new team members as the business grows.
Own retention and customer lifecycle sales motion — not just new business.

Who you are

You are proactive, a real operator. Not a spectator, not a spreadsheet manager — a doer. You have run inside sales teams before. You have coached reps to become better sellers. You have watched underperformers turn around, and you have made the hard calls when they haven’t.

You bring:

A track record of leading and developing inside sales teams (5+ years managing sales reps directly).
Real coaching instincts. You know how to sit next to a rep, listen to a live or recorded call, and pull out the one thing that will change their next ten conversations.
Analytical fluency. You can read a performance report and immediately spot what matters. You use data to diagnose, not just to report.
A sense of ownership. When something on your team isn’t working, you don’t wait for someone to tell you to fix it — you already have a plan.
Comfort with a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment. You do well when you have real autonomy and real accountability — and less well in bureaucratic settings with layers of approval.
A leader’s presence. You build trust with your team quickly, you handle difficult conversations with respect and clarity, and you lead by doing.
A steady temperament under pressure. Sales is a daily rhythm and this role requires someone who thrives inside that rhythm, not despite it.

Strongly preferred

Experience in a business with subscription-based sales.
Experience leading a sales team in a small-to-midsize privately owned company.
Track record of building sales operations infrastructure where none existed before — scorecards, coaching cadences, hiring frameworks, performance systems.
Direct experience running a phone-based sales team.

Location and schedule

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nassau County, NY. Monday through Friday with \weekend and after-hours availability. This is not a remote or hybrid position — daily presence with the team is essential to the role.
