Full Job Description

Job Title: PL/SQL Developer

Location: REMOTE, Virginia

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL solutions, including functions, procedures, triggers, and packages using Oracle 11g or newer.
Participate in production implementations by partnering with the production support group to ensure correct transition of system changes into production environments.
Design, develop, and maintain automation and data-processing scripts, including database maintenance and monitoring solutions using PL/SQL, Perl, and shell.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide consultation to development teams.
Perform data analysis and debugging to identify data quality issues, support application troubleshooting, identify root causes, and implement permanent resolutions.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including system diagrams and operational procedures.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve database and application performance issues in partnership with application, infrastructure, and support teams.
Ensure database environments follow best practices for reliability, scalability, and security.

Requirements

US Citizen with ability to obtain a public trust.
Bachelor's degree in computer science/management information systems or an associated discipline or FOUR (4) additional years of experience.
Minimum of SIX (6) years of job-related experience as an Oracle Database Developer.
Ability to create, modify, and tune SQL queries and PL/SQL code.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data and system performance issues.
Knowledge with AWS cloud technologies like RDS, Lambda, EC2, Redshift is a plus.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.
May require participation in a 24X7 on-call rotation or overnight deployment.
Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse; ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY preferred.
Strong expertise in Oracle performance tuning, including SQL and PL/SQL optimization.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including triggers, procedures, functions, and packages.
Proficiency in SQL Developer, SQL Loader, and related Oracle tools.
Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills.
Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, with strong planning and coordination capabilities.
High levels of self-motivation and adaptability, with the ability to meet aggressive deadlines.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to research and resolve complex technical problems in a distributed and complex IT environment, collaborating with both local and remote teams.
What would be nice to have: Oracle database performance tuning.
What would be nice to have: Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
What would be nice to have: Knowledge of AWS is a plus.
