Position Responsibilities

Deltek is looking for a business professional who possesses that unique combination of polished public presentation skills and substantial experience utilizing an ERP business software. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge in one or more of the following disciplines: Finance/Accounting, Contract Management, Human Resources, Project Management, Program Control or Business Intelligence and Analytics.

As a Solutions Engineer, you will partner with a Sales Account Executive to assist existing and potential clients in identifying their business requirements and demonstrate the ability of Deltek's flagship ERP solution - Costpoint, to address those business requirements.

Responsibilities:

Helps to qualify prospects from a functional and business process perspective.
Serves as key strategic advisor for opportunities, making recommendations to the sales team based on customer requirements and solution capabilities.
Demonstrates the value of the Costpoint solution suite to prospects and existing customers, establishing credibility and addressing all functional questions.
Collaborates with Sales to respond to RFPs.
Develops and updates demo scripts, scenarios, and databases.
Represents Deltek at regional and national events.
Mentors and trains peers on applications and methodologies.
Actively participates in our software release process, making recommendations for new applications and enhanced functionality in existing software.
Proactively assumes responsibility for learning new products and maintains outstanding knowledge of relevant software applications

Qualifications

Experience utilizing a project-based ERP strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Previous experience as an Assistant Controller, Controller, Project Manager, Program Manager, Systems Administrator is desired
Demonstrable presentation skills.
Working knowledge of an ERP solution, preferably, Deltek Costpoint, supplemented by one or more of the following; experience with labor and expense reporting, familiarity with business intelligence/analytic software (prefer IBM Cognos), understanding of budgeting and planning, exposure to human resources functionality and a grasp of the procurement cycle.
Travel is required and is highly variable dependent on prospect requirements. Travel could average approximately 50% of the work year.

The U.S. On-Target-Earnings (OTE) for this position is $115,000.00-$130,000.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
