Full Job Description

Full Time – On Campus

DESCRIPTION

The Career Services Coordinator reports directly to the Career Services Director and the Career Services Associate Director. This coordinator has a full performance position inside the Career Services Department dealing with students, alumni, instructors, employers, private sector, companies outside representatives, college management and its staff.

How YOU will impact our students/Alumni:

Job Placement

Prepare students for all job seeking activities including but not limited to resume preparation, job hunting and referrals, interview techniques (phone, panel and face to face interviews), enforcing all inter-office protocols, and state job regulations.
Maintain accurate files and records on all student job placement activities.
Maintain all pertinent current information in the college data management systems in order to properly prepare reports each month, including placement percentages of all graduates and those hired.
Must obtain and keep records timely of Employment verification forms of all hired graduates.
Must work with current and past cohorts for job placement.
Conduct mock interviews for students in preparation to their actual interviews.
Develop and deliver classroom presentations workshops on industry trends, labor market information, employment preparation, and other career preparation related topics.

Business Development

Identifying new Clinical sites/ Medical facilities/ Technical facilities and Employers (for clinical rotations and job placement)
Pitching employers to hire our graduates. Maintaining and updating a potential employer database.
Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing employers and clinical sites management.
Proactively develops Career Services relationships with local employers through in-person visits and correspondence. Arranges for interviews and placements of student graduates. Secures employment for a predetermined number of graduates.
Coordinate on campus career job fair events; conducts employer site visits to campus; promotes program visits to students and faculty; assists with set-up as needed, debriefs with employers to assess externship and hires satisfaction, and discuss improvements.

Externship

Provide on time information to Student Services, Financial Aid, and Fiscal departments, after assuring instructor has released the student for clinical rotations.
Provide externship orientations and obtain proper students release documentation prior to externship start dates.
Coordinate with externship sites to determine start dates, schedules, and site regulations.
Track and record student clinical rotations accumulated hours on daily and weekly. Portico, Course Key, RGM, timesheets.
Maintain a close contact at all times with students while at their clinical sites and site administration staff as well.
Visit clinical sites on a constant basis to ensure quality of training. Some local travel will be required.
Schedule Students Follow up on campus meetings every 2 months for student preparation and satisfaction assessment.
Maintain a professional relationship with the students and staff at all times.
Report to the Career Service Director and/or the Career Services Associate Director any and all students’ incidents of non-compliance of school rules, policies, and regulations.
Attend workshops, webinars/seminars in order to learn new techniques or meet standard accreditation compliance.
Participate in the preparation and closing procedures of Programs Advisory Committee meetings and establish recruitment strategies for new board members. Prepare corresponding meeting minutes following the accreditation standards.
Publish on the college professional social media all the department activities and events related to career services, placement, and contracts acquisition.
Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
This position requires local Southern California travel to externship and employers’ sites.

Licenses and Certification Services

Assisting the students with their state and national professional Licenses and Certifications processes.
Maintain updated knowledge of the different state and national Career Licenses and Certifications regulations and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent professional presentation and excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Associate Degree, but Bachelor Degree is a preferred.
Prior experience on Job Placement and Business Development for Medical Imaging Career Schools is a plus.
Computer literate on MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Canva, video editing, attendance Tracking systems, and social media posting.
Must have own reliable transportation
Must be able to travel to out of state campuses and site locations.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
