Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented PCB Layout Engineer to join our engineering team. This position is responsible for creating state of the art PCB layouts from electrical schematics, net lists, mechanical input, and associated detail documents that adhere to the latest fabrication and assembly standards using Altium design software. THIS PERSON MUST LIVE IN THE ST. LOUIS AREA.
Responsibilities:
- Creation and optimization of PCB designs based on input from electrical and mechanical engineers
- Take into consideration and follow design, signal integrity , power integrity, EMC and manufacturing guidelines
- Creation and maintenance of manufacturing data (gerbers, pick and place, stencil, drawings and documentation
- Creation and modification of schematics based on electrical design input
- Involved in process definition and design guideline optimization
- Carry out design modifications on existing boards
Qualifications:
- 5 years layout experience
- Knowledge in PCB technologies and manufacturing
- Knowledge in basic Electronic design
- Knowledge of Layout tools (Preferably Altium)
- Sound knowledge of electrical & electronic components – Surface Mount & through Hole (BGA required)
- HDMI and High-med voltage layouts (400VDC) are a plus
- Motor controller experience a plus
- High speed signal layout skills required
- Knowledge of IPC standards associated with PCB design
- Excellent communication skill and an ability to work co-operatively with others
- Attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, self-motivating and the ability to plan and organize own tasks
