Job SummaryHousingToHome (HTH) is seeking a bi-lingual, Arabic speaking professional, well-organized, compassionate individual with excellent attention to detail to serve as a Full-Time Resident Relocation Manager for a 12 month project. The company has a strong track record of growth following the successful completion of these initial jobs. The Relocation Manager reports to HTH’s Leadership Team and is responsible for managing the day-to-day resident engagement and relocation services during renovation projects at an affordable housing site in Sterling Heights MI, as well as other affordable housing sites in the area. This Relocation Manager is flexible to work at multiple locations, wants to learn the Relocation business, and is amenable to supporting HTH’s sites in other States, as needed. This person is a team player and ready and available to support HTH as a whole and multiple sites.
The ideal candidate for this position maintains confidentiality, shows initiative, demonstrates sound decision-making skills and takes great pride in their work. They have effective interpersonal skills, superior oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities and Duties
Job Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to:
Resident Relocation & Case Management
- Serve as HTH’s primary on-site contact for residents participating in renovation-related relocation services.
- Coordinate and manage Temporary Onsite, Temporary Offsite, Day Relocation, and Permanent Relocation activities based on project needs.
- Conduct resident assessments to identify household needs, accommodations, accessibility concerns, and special circumstances.
- Provide ongoing relocation counseling and support to residents and families throughout the relocation process.
- Assist residents with move preparation, scheduling, packing coordination, and move-day logistics.
- Ensure residents receive all applicable relocation benefits and services in accordance with project guidelines and HTH standards.
Resident Communication & Engagement
- Draft, distribute, and track resident notices and project-related communications, including renovation notices, scheduling updates, and construction confirmations.
- Maintain regular office hours and respond promptly to resident concerns, grievances, and inquiries.
- Build positive working relationships with residents while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
- Coordinate translation services and multilingual notices as needed to support resident communication accessibility.
Project Coordination & Operations
- Collaborate daily with construction teams, property management, vendors, and HTH leadership to coordinate project activities.
- Participate in site meetings, construction check-ins, and operational planning discussions.
- Ensure apartments and residents are properly prepared for renovation activities and scheduled moves.
- Identify operational challenges and proactively develop solutions in collaboration with leadership and project teams.
- Support additional HTH sites and projects as operational needs arise.
Compliance, Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate resident files, relocation logs, and move-tracking documentation within HTH’s systems.
- Document resident interactions, exceptions, expenses, and project updates in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure compliance with HTH policies, privacy standards, client requirements, and project procedures.
- Conduct regular audits of resident files and relocation documentation to ensure data integrity and compliance standards are maintained.
- Prepare reports and provide project updates to leadership as requested.
Team Support
- Represent HTH professionally with clients, residents, vendors, and community partners.
- Promote a collaborative, resident-centered, and solutions-oriented work environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support operational and site needs beyond assigned responsibilities when necessary.

- Background or experience in relocation, affordable housing, community development, social services, resident engagement, and/or property management is preferred.
- Intermediate understanding of and experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Adept at sending and responding to emails.
- A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills that support and enable sound decision-making.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

Pay: $55,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
