K&H Truckweld is seeking an experienced Mechanical Draftsman/SolidWorks Designer to join our team in Saginaw, Texas.

What You'll Do
As a member of our engineering and production team, you will:

Create details 3D models and production drawings using SolidWorks

Design custom truck bodies and vocational truck equipment for manufacturing

Develop fabrication drawings for steel weldments, structural components, and assemblies

Interpret engineering concepts, customer requirements, sketches, and production needs into accurate, manufacturable designs

Review and revise drawings as product improvements or customer requirements change

Collaborate closely with Production Managers and shop personnel to improve manufacturability and efficiency

Verify the accuracy and completeness of drawings before releasing them to production

Maintain organized drawing files and engineering documentation
We're Looking for Someone Who Has-
Minimum three years SolidWorks drafting or mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience creating production-ready fabrication drawings
-
Strong understanding of fabricated steel, weldments, and structural components

Ability to accurately interpret engineering markups and implement revisions
-
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
-
Strong organizational and time management skills
-
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production and management
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Highly Preferred Experience
