Independent Executive Administrative Assistant (1099 Contractor)

Location: Remote (Virtual) or Portland Metro Area, Oregon (In-Person Optional)

Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099) | Part-Time | On-Call

About the Opportunity

Fasil Tulu, RN is seeking a dependable, self-motivated Independent Executive Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and executive support for a growing nursing consulting and healthcare services business.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not an employee role. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, able to work independently, and available on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities

Manage calendars, appointments, and scheduling.
Answer phone calls and respond to emails professionally.
Coordinate referrals and communicate with clients, healthcare providers, and agencies.
Prepare, organize, and maintain documents, forms, and reports.
Assist with Oregon DHS and healthcare-related administrative paperwork.
Maintain electronic records and files.
Schedule meetings and follow up on pending tasks.
Provide general executive and office administrative support.
Assist with invoicing, billing, and basic bookkeeping (preferred but not required).
Handle confidential information in compliance with HIPAA.

Qualifications

Experience as an Executive Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Office Manager, or similar role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, and electronic document management.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Healthcare or medical office experience is preferred.
Knowledge of HIPAA is a plus.

Schedule

Part-time
On-call, as needed
Flexible hours

Compensation

Competitive hourly rate based on qualifications and experience.
