Full Job Description

Everett J. Prescott, Inc.’s sister company, Quality Water Products, is seeking a full-time detail-oriented Draftsman to create accurate technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by architects, engineers, and designers. The ideal candidate has strong drafting skills, proficiency in CAD software, and a solid understanding of industry standards and construction methods. This position will be based out of EJP’s home office in Gardiner, ME.

Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, layouts, and plans
Interpret sketches, specifications, and design instructions
Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, architects, or project managers
Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations
Maintain organized drawing files and documentation
Coordinate with internal teams to resolve design or drafting issues
Assist with material take-offs and basic calculations when required

Required Skills & Qualifications:

College Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field
Experience in architectural / civil / mechanical / electrical drafting
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD required; Revit, SolidWorks, or similar is a plus)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Being able to travel frequently/as needed down to our sister company, Quality Water Products, in Barre Massachusetts. (This is will more frequent during the initial training period)
Good communication and time management skills
