Company Overview

International Empire Electric Corp (IEEC) is an expanding commercial electrical contracting company focused on high-quality commercial electrical and low voltage construction projects throughout New York City and Long Island.

We are seeking a highly driven and entrepreneurial Independent Electrical Estimator to help expand our commercial project pipeline and develop long-term General Contractor and client relationships.

This opportunity is designed for individuals who want unlimited earning potential, professional growth, and the ability to help scale a rapidly growing electrical contracting company.

Position Summary

The Independent Sales Estimator will be responsible for sourcing project opportunities, reviewing plans and specifications, preparing estimates and proposals, coordinating pricing, negotiating awarded work, and helping develop long-term client relationships.

This position is ideal for someone with strong electrical estimating knowledge, business development capability, and a self-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain General Contractor and client relationships
Identify and pursue commercial electrical opportunities
Review electrical drawings and project specifications
Prepare detailed electrical and low voltage estimates
Coordinate vendor and subcontractor pricing
Prepare bid proposals and scope clarifications
Assist with value engineering opportunities
Support project negotiations and awarded work
Assist in developing change order opportunities
Help expand IEEC’s project pipeline and market presence

Preferred Experience

Commercial electrical estimating
Low voltage systems estimating
Ground-up and tenant fit-out construction
Lighting and power systems
Fire alarm systems
Data and communication wiring
Access control and security systems
Strong understanding of construction drawings and NEC practices

Software Experience Preferred

IntelliBid
ConEst
Microsoft Office
Autodesk

Qualifications

Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently
Self-motivated and growth-oriented mindset
Existing construction or GC relationships preferred
Professional and organized approach to business development
