Summary:
As the Workday Platform Manager you will be responsible for the overall strategy, governance, administration, optimization, and support of Golden Entertainment’s Workday ecosystem, including Human Capital Management (HCM), Financials (FIN), Payroll, Benefits, Talent, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Absence, Security, Reporting, and Integrations. Your role ensures Workday’s stability, performance, and alignment with enterprise goals while partnering closely with HR, Finance, Payroll, Procurement, and IT leadership. You will work with a team of analysts and integration specialists, to drive Workday roadmap execution, release management, and data governance.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the enterprise Workday strategy and roadmap
- Establish governance processes for enhancement intake, prioritization, and change management.
- Lead Workday steering committee and governance meetings with HR, Finance, Payroll, and IT leadership
- Recommend and implement best practices across HCM and Financials
· Ensure Workday aligns with organizational goals and supports operational efficiency
- Serve as the primary IT owner for Workday platform stability, availability, and performance
- Oversee configuration, tenant management, business processes, calculated fields, EIBs, and functional setups across HCM and FIN
- Manage production support, issue resolution, and vendor escalations; own support tickets from intake through resolution
- Monitor system performance, scheduled jobs, integrations, and data feeds
- Maintain documentation for configurations, integrations, security models, and functional processes
- Oversee Workday security architecture, role‑based access controls, and segregation‑of‑duties (SoD)
- Ensure compliance with SOX, audit requirements, privacy standards, and regulatory obligations
- Partner with Information Security and External Audit on periodic reviews and risk assessments
- Manage all inbound and outbound Workday integrations, including Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, APIs, and middleware
- Oversee payroll interfaces, benefits carrier feeds, Active Directory/Entra ID integrations, recruiting platform integrations, banking/AP/procurement/ERP integrations, and tax interfaces
- Monitor integration failures, perform root‑cause analysis, coordinate vendor support, and maintain integration documentation
- Drive automation opportunities and reduce manual processes across the enterprise
- Implement enterprise reporting strategy, including dashboards, analytics, and data governance
- Oversee development of workforce and financial reporting, ensuring data integrity and security
- Support executive leadership with strategic analytics, KPIs, and performance insights
- Evaluate release notes, assess impacts, coordinate regression testing, and manage deployment plans
- Validate integrations and critical business processes during release cycles
- Communicate release changes and new functionality to stakeholders
- Direct and mentor Workday analysts, administrators, and integration specialists
- Establish service levels, operational metrics, and performance standards
- Manage consultant and vendor relationships
- Work with HR to develop training strategies, succession plans, and skill development pathways
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, Procurement, and IT stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into Workday solutions
- Provide end‑user training, documentation, and guidance to ensure consistent and effective Workday usage
- Support cross‑functional projects involving HCM, FIN, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Absence, Payroll, and related integrations
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of enterprise application experience
- 5+ years supporting or managing Workday in an enterprise environment
- Hands‑on experience with Workday configuration, business processes, security, reporting, and integrations
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across functional and technical layers
- Experience managing multiple projects or support requests in a fast‑paced environment
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical users
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service to end users and cross‑functional partners
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word; familiarity with collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams
- Workday Pro certifications in HCM, Financials, Security, Reporting, or Integrations preferred
- Experience with Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, or Recruiting preferred
- Experience with Workday Extend or advanced integration frameworks preferred
- Prior experience supporting enterprise systems in a regulated or high‑volume operational environment preferred
- Experience leading enterprise application teams
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Information Technology or Business Management Degree preferred
- Reliable communication device for urgent support needs outside of scheduled work hours
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
