Human Resources Manager
National Senior Benefit Advisors (NSBA)
San Diego, CA
Full-Time | In Office | Monday–Friday

About NSBA
National Senior Benefit Advisors (NSBA) is a rapidly growing Medicare insurance agency dedicated to helping beneficiaries navigate their healthcare options with confidence and integrity. As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead our HR function and support our employees throughout every stage of the employment lifecycle.

Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager will oversee the day-to-day HR operations for the organization and serve as a trusted resource for employees and leadership. This position is responsible for employee relations, payroll administration, benefits, leave management, HR compliance, policy implementation, and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, solutions-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Manage employee relations and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
Administer payroll and assist with compensation-related matters.
Oversee employee leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other protected leaves.
Coordinate workers' compensation claims, unemployment claims, wage garnishments, and other employment-related matters.
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Maintain employee personnel records and HR documentation.
Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
Administer employee benefits and assist with annual open enrollment.
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.
Partner with leadership on employee relations, performance management, and organizational initiatives.
Foster a positive, professional, and employee-focused workplace culture.
Maintain confidentiality while exercising sound judgment in handling sensitive employee matters.
Helps with hiring and onboarding where applicable.
Supports Executive leadership where appropriate.

Qualifications

3+ years of Human Resources management experience preferred
Strong knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices
Experience administering payroll and employee benefits
Experience managing employee relations, leaves of absence, workplace accommodations, and HR compliance
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment
Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll/HR systems is preferred
Experience using Google Workspace is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

Starting salary of $75,000 annually
Compensation may be adjusted based on experience
