Finance & Operations Manager (Controller/CFO Track)

Location: Lake Charles, LA
Job Type: Full-Time

As a growing business, we've reached the point where we need an experienced financial leader to work alongside ownership and help take our company to the next level.

About the Role

For years, the owner has managed nearly every aspect of the business. We're now looking for a trusted financial and operational partner who can help organize, improve, and grow the company while providing sound financial guidance.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and wants to help shape the future of a growing organization.

Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting and financial operations
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
Prepare monthly and annual financial reports
Analyze profitability and identify opportunities for cost savings
Assist with strategic planning and business growth
Improve internal processes and financial controls
Work with CPAs, banks, and outside professionals
Monitor accounts payable, receivable, and payroll
Assist ownership with major business decisions and financial planning
Develop KPIs and reporting systems to improve company performance
Support HR, insurance, and administrative functions as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
5+ years of accounting, finance, controller, CFO, or senior business leadership experience
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and business operations
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions
Experience in a small business or family-owned company is highly preferred
CPA or CMA is a plus but not required
