Full Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Videographer at Maui Divers Jewelry is responsible for concepting, storyboarding, shooting, editing, file management, and delivery of all social, ecommerce, digital marketing, and broadcast video, including special projects, special events, and interviews as required by marketing and the Creative Director and CEO. Attention to detail, consistency, organization, punctuality, and the drive to push the creative bounds of Maui Divers Jewelry is required to excel in the role. The role will also assist photography as needed in a support and capture role.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Conceptualize, develop, and execute video content for marketing campaigns, social media, and other projects requested

Pre-production:

o Plan the shoot, storyboard, work with Marketing / Creative Director to discuss the overall vision/concept, scout location, and list equipment requirements

Production:

o Operate camera, adjust lighting setups, direct talent (as needed) and capture high-quality audio on-site, ensuring jewelry is always sharp/in-focus and matches the vision of the storyboard

o Voiceover recording:

 Monitoring audio levels and setting input gain to prevent clipping or distortion

 Guide talent on delivery, pacing, tone, and enunciation to match the project style

Post-production:

o Edit footage using software (Adobe Premiere Pro/Da Vinci Resolve), add music/effects, and color grading

o Properly export video for marketing channels including, but not limited to YouTube, Airports, TV, Instagram, TikTok, and Stores

o Synchronizing the voiceover with the video timeline and applying equalization (EQ), compression, and volume normalization so it balances perfectly with background music and sound effects

-Light, film, edit, and deliver product videos in a studio environment, showcasing product as accurately as possible

-Maintain best practices and industry knowledge for videography, color grading, lighting, and editing

-Manage multiple projects, organize project files, meet deadlines, and ensure high-quality output and delivery to internal filing system and Frame.io

-Maintain knowledge of high-performing and trending content formats across platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, pitch new content ideas, and film social content as needed

-Other duties and projects assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

-Excellent organizational ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and ensure high-quality output.

-Understanding, knowledge, and experience filming on a Sony FX-3

- Short Form Content Expertise: Proven experience in shooting, producing and editing high-performing vertical content.

-Must be proficient in Davinci Resolve Color workflow pipelines (at least 4 years)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

-Experience in camera operation with Sony systems, preferably ARRI systems as well
