Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Diesel Mechanic Trash Truck Technician to join our team on the second shift. In this vital role, you will perform preventative maintenance on a variety of heavy-duty diesel trash truck engines and waste disposal equipment. Your expertise will keep our fleet operating at peak performance, supporting our commitment to excellence in mobile maintenance services. Duties

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and shocks & struts replacement.
Operate heavy equipment including waste disposal vehicles safely and efficiently during repairs or testing.
Read and interpret schematics for complex machinery maintenance; follow safety protocols during all service procedures.
Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed to ensure compliance and traceability.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician with fleet experience preferred.
Proven experience servicing trash trucks and waste disposal vehicles preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic and heavy equipment technician required.
Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery including farm machinery, industrial equipment, and automotive repair.
Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues effectively.
Experience with vehicle maintenance procedures such as oil changes, greasing, filter replacements and other diesel specific requirements .
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about repairs and maintenance needs.
Physical ability for heavy lifting; comfortable working in various environmental conditions; committed to safety standards at all times.
