About the Opportunity

Doorplace USA is recruiting independent contractors and home improvement professionals nationwide to join our contractor network.

This is a flexible 1099 independent contractor opportunity for skilled tradespeople, installers, repair professionals, and service providers who want access to matched residential or commercial project opportunities.

Doorplace USA receives customer inquiries and routes relevant opportunities to approved contractors based on service area, trade specialty, availability, and project fit. Contractors may review available opportunities and choose which projects they want to accept.

This is not an employee position. There is no hourly wage, guaranteed salary, or guaranteed number of projects. Contractors operate as independent businesses and remain responsible for their own scheduling, pricing, tools, transportation, licensing, insurance, taxes, and business operations.

What You’ll Do

Review project opportunities available in your service area.
Accept or decline opportunities based on your availability, experience, and project fit.
Communicate directly with customers regarding project details, scheduling, estimates, pricing, and payment terms.
Determine your own pricing and negotiate project costs directly with the customer.
Provide installation, repair, maintenance, or home improvement services within your area of expertise.
Manage your own schedule, tools, transportation, insurance, and business operations.
Complete accepted work professionally and in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and safety standards.

Project Categories May Include

Door installation, repair, hardware, and trim
Window, frame, glass, and exterior repairs
Carpentry and handyman services
Decks, fences, patios, and pergolas
Porch swing installation and outdoor improvements
Flooring, drywall, painting, and finishing
Cabinetry installation or repair
Residential and commercial maintenance
Other installation, repair, and home improvement services

Contractors are only matched with opportunities relevant to their selected trades, experience, and service area. You are not required to perform every service listed above.

Compensation and Pricing

Contractors determine their own pricing and negotiate project costs directly with the customer.

Doorplace USA does not establish hourly rates, daily rates, estimates, or final project prices for independent contractors. Compensation depends on the project scope, location, materials, labor requirements, and the agreement reached directly between the contractor and the customer.

Any pay range displayed by Indeed is an estimate for posting purposes only. It is not a guaranteed wage, salary, daily earning amount, or minimum level of compensation.

Doorplace USA does not guarantee any minimum number of leads, projects, customers, earnings, or payments.

Contractor Requirements

Relevant experience in at least one installation, repair, maintenance, or home improvement trade
Professional communication and customer service skills
Reliable transportation and appropriate tools for accepted work
Ability to manage projects and appointments independently
Any licenses, permits, registrations, or insurance required for the services performed in your area
Smartphone or internet access for receiving and managing opportunities

Independent Contractor Notice

All contractors operate as separate independent businesses. Joining the Doorplace USA contractor network does not create an employer-employee relationship.

Contractors maintain control over the projects they accept, their work methods, scheduling, pricing, tools, staffing, licensing, insurance, taxes, and business operations.

Contractors independently determine their pricing and negotiate compensation directly with customers. Doorplace USA does not control or guarantee contractor pricing, customer acceptance, project value, payment, or earnings.
