Full Job Description

At Moving Brightly Therapy, we are intentionally designing a different kind of group practice, one that fills a well-known gap in the professional development of social workers.

Many LMSWs report that after graduation, clinical supervision often shifts away from deep clinical learning toward productivity expectations, agency demands, and administrative priorities. While these realities are understandable within traditional clinic models, they can leave early-career clinicians without the mentorship, training, and business preparation they need to become confident, independent practitioners.

We believe there is a better way. Our model is designed specifically for LMSWs whose long-term goal is private practice. We provide a structured, supportive environment where clinicians can develop strong clinical identities while also preparing for sustainable careers.

Test preparation coaching for LCSW licensing exams
Private Practice Preparation

Unlike traditional group practices, our goal is not long-term retention, we actively prepare clinicians for independence.

(Move Me Brightly is structured to meet all NYSED requirements toward your LCSW. Our practice is an LCSW-owned setting, which qualifies as an acceptable supervised setting under NY Education Law)

Compensation

$35 per completed clinical session
Opportunities for increased income as your caseload and responsibilities grow
Flexible scheduling
In-person office with future telehealth opportunities
Manageable caseload to start ([10–20] clients), with room to grow and a health pace towards building your caseload.

What you'll do:

· Provide individual/couples/family therapy and opportunities for group therapy under clinical supervision

· Participate actively in weekly individual supervision, and group supervision

· Bi-monthly specialized training

· Maintain timely clinical documentation collaborate with the clinical team

What you need:

· Active LMSW license in New York State

· MSW from an accredited program

· Genuine interest in building toward independent clinical licensure

· Flexible Schedule
