Full Job Description

**Overview:**
Quill & Arrow is seeking a skilled and professional Settlement Specialist to join our Lemon Law department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the distribution of client settlement funds by carefully reviewing payments, sales contracts, lien payoffs, and internal communications. This role requires preparing and verifying final settlement calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and clearly communicating disbursement breakdowns to clients. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, highly organized, and comfortable handling financial reconciliations while maintaining a high level of professionalism in client interactions.

**Responsibilities:**

· Communicate with clients regarding the distribution of their settlement funds, providing clear explanations and timely updates throughout the process.

· Review and analyze financial documents—including payments, sales contracts, and lien payoffs—to accurately calculate settlement amounts and identify discrepancies.

· Prepare, verify, and finalize settlement calculations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper disbursement of funds.

· Work closely with attorneys and accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate payments to clients.

· Maintain detailed and organized case notes, documenting all client interactions, account updates, and settlement progress.

**Qualifications:**
Required:

· High school diploma or higher; additional accounting coursework or CPA licensing is a plus.

· Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

· Excellent time management abilities and the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients, and external parties.

· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.

· Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines.

Preferred:

· Experience in legal, accounting, or administrative support roles.

· Background in accounting or invoice processing preferred.

· Experience working in high‑accuracy environments (finance, compliance, insurance, etc.)

· Proficiency in using relevant legal software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite & Clio).

· Bilingual (English & Spanish)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
