Full Job Description

Hyperion Munitions is a 100% veteran owned and operated small business in Largo Florida looking to grow its staff for expansion.

Position Summary and Essential Job Functions:

Manufacture live ammunition through the use of loading machines. This position requires
great attention to detail, a thorough understanding of the loading process, and a keen ability to troubleshoot problems. It is the role of the operator to make sure that the machine is performing to the correct measures of our processes, following specified procedures.This position requires absolute discipline with regard to product quality assurance and documentation.

Tasks and Responsibilities include:

Performs pre-operation check to insure all correct components are collected to feed the machines.
Observes machine functions to ensure normal operation.
Measures and gauges finished cartridges throughout the production shift.
Visually inspects finished cartridges to ensure they meet Company quality standard.
Corrects malfunctions and troubleshoots equipment.
Fulfills the daily work order and completes all documents associated with it.
Maintains safe and clean working environment at all times by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, including use of appropriate personal protection equipment
Cleans machine at the end of the shift.
Communicates questions or concerns with Operations Manager.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability or Knowledge Required:

Experience loading ammunition is preferred
General knowledge of ballistics and firearm construction/function preferred.
Excellent eyesight with or without correction for close inspection work.
Sound technical skills and ability to troubleshoot.
Ability to pay attention to detail.
Sound understanding of working with hand tools and machinery.
Ability to work independently and to multitask.
Ability to work under pressure.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work standing for extended hours.
Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50lbs
Ability to wear proper safety equipment; including gloves, eye protection, hearing protection, etc.
Ability to be aware of a changing work environment and operate equipment in a safe manner.
Minimum of a high school diploma.
Must pass drug test and federal background check
1st shift 6am-2pm

Job Type: Full-time
