Full Job Description

Job Description: Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems and PC replacements. Responds to tickets generated by Help Desk, emails, and phone calls. Primary office location is in Cranston, RI with frequent site visits to locations ranging from Middletown area of Connecticut to Boston.
Key Responsibilities:

Diligently document pertinent ticket, PC replacement, and resolution information for future reference
Possess thorough knowledge of workstation configuration, hardware, software, and user connectivity troubleshooting techniques for satisfactory resolution
Possess strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Windows Operating Systems, diagnostic utilities, and remote workstation troubleshooting techniques to follow up on tickets at pre-defined intervals until resolved
Knowledge of Automotive Applications and troubleshooting, not required but considered a strong plus
Experienced in workstation management, user administration, and troubleshooting
Provide seamless support with first line remote Helpdesk, Onsite support, and key 3rd party service providers (email, connectivity, telco, etc.)
Maintain user accounts including rights, permissions and systems groups
Quickly and accurately determine incident scope and impact
Effectively provide local and remote workstation support (hardware, software, connectivity) or PC installation (new hire, break/fix, move, change, etc.)
Escalate unsolved issues to IT Coordinators, or 3rd party, in a timely manner
Document system problems and resolutions for future reference. Perform other duties as assigned
Ability to operate effectively and independently and display a professional demeanor during periods of high stress (such as company-wide technology incidents or outages which result in high call volume)
Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with colleagues and community
Present ideas and clearly communicate complicated concepts and solutions in user-friendly language over the phone, in person, and in writing.
Provide a seamless interface between Help Desk Support, key service providers, and the User
Maintain and exceed IT objectives, Service Level Metrics and IT Goals
Requirements:
Associate degree in a related area preferred or equivalent experience
Experience Minimum 5 years in a help desk or other technical support role.
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills in a diverse community
Absorb and retain information quickly with strong attention to detail
Work both independently and as a team member
Drug and Background checks required
Automotive Experience (CDK) advantageous but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
