IT Support and Systems Analyst

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Role Overview

X Contracting is growing construction companies operating across Arizona. As the organization expands, we are building the internal systems and technology infrastructure that will support the next phase of growth. We are seeking an IT Support and Systems Analyst who is comfortable handling day-to-day IT support while also contributing to broader technology improvements across the company. This role sits at the intersection of IT support, software systems, and technical problem solving and implementation. The right candidate enjoys helping users solve real-world problems while also contributing ideas and technical improvements related to reporting, automation, data architecture, and infrastructure.

The environment is practical and fast-moving. You’ll be stepping into an active environment with established infrastructure and several projects already in motion. We value people who are patient, solution-oriented, and comfortable building systems step by step.

Core Responsibilities

IT Support (L1 / L2)

Provide front-line support for employees across office and field environments.

Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
Support Microsoft 365, user accounts, permissions, and device setup
Assist employees with software tools, connectivity, and system access
Configure and maintain laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
Document solutions and maintain IT knowledge base

Software and Systems Support

Assist with the implementation, support, and improvement of company software platforms.

Support internal software platforms and business applications
Assist with software rollouts and system implementations
Help troubleshoot workflow issues inside company software tools
Work with finance, operations, and management teams to improve reporting and data visibility
Assist in building and maintaining internal documentation and processes

Technical Projects and Continuous Improvement

Contribute to the improvement of the company’s technical environment as the organization grows.

Assist with reporting and data organization across company systems
Help implement new software tools and integrations
Support improvements in data architecture and data quality
Contribute to automation opportunities
Assist with network infrastructure and device management
Support cybersecurity practices and system monitoring
Participate in projects involving reporting tools, scripting, or light coding

This person should be comfortable learning, experimenting, and contributing ideas in a fast-paced production environment where initiatives have meaningful outcomes.

Ideal Background

We are looking for someone with a blend of practical support experience and technical curiosity.

Systems Support Analyst
Technical Support Engineer
Junior Systems Administrator

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

2-5 years of IT support experience
Strong troubleshooting ability across enterprise hardware, software, and networking
Experience with Microsoft 365 email and productivity environments or equivalent
Familiarity with cybersecurity fundamentals and best practices in a hybrid enterprise environment (endpoint protection, access controls, MFA, email security, spam controls, etc.)
Experience supporting business software platforms (NinjaOne, BCDR, CRM, ERP a plus)
Solid working knowledge of networking fundamentals (Ubiquiti a plus)
Exposure to scripting, automation, or coding (Python, PowerShell, SQL, etc. a plus)
Interest in data, reporting, and systems improvement (AI, BI, and Construction)

Formal degrees are welcome but practical experience and problem-solving ability matter most.
