Full Job Description

Job Summary

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Radiologic Technologist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality medical imaging services to patients across diverse clinical settings. Your expertise in operating advanced imaging equipment and implementing radiation safety protocols will ensure accurate diagnostics and optimal patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a small town environment.

Responsibilities

Operate a variety of diagnostic imaging equipment including X-ray, CT (Computed Tomography), DEXA scans and diagnostic Ultrasounds with precision and care.
Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort while maintaining strict adherence to aseptic techniques.
Implement radiation safety protocols diligently to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure during all imaging procedures.
Collaborate with physicians and the emergency team to perform diagnostic evaluations in Clinical and other critical environments requiring rapid response.
Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed, patient information, and equipment calibration records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques to continually improve service quality.

Experience

Proven experience operating diagnostic radiology equipment including X-ray, CT scans, DEXA scans and diagnostic Ultrasounds.
Prior work in clinical care facilities or emergency room environments is highly desirable.
Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers demonstrating ability to handle high-pressure situations efficiently.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles essential for accurate image acquisition and interpretation support.
Familiarity with implementing radiation safety protocols and maintaining aseptic technique during invasive procedures.
Strong understanding of medical equipment operation combined with excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of Prior-authorization with insurance companies for certain diagnostic testing.
