Design Assistant / Junior Interior Designer

About A. Jane Interiors

A. Jane Interiors is a multidisciplinary interior design studio specializing in luxury condominium renovations, hospitality, restaurants and high-end residential interiors. Our work is rooted in thoughtful design, technical excellence, and creating timeless spaces that enhance the way people live and experience their environments.

We are looking for a highly motivated Design Assistant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both the creative and technical sides of interior design and is eager to gain hands-on experience throughout every phase of a project.

Responsibilities

Assist with programming, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
Produce and revise floor plans, elevations using AutoCAD
Develop presentation boards, finish palettes, and client presentations.
Source furniture, lighting, finishes, plumbing fixtures, fabrics, and accessories.
Research products and communicate with manufacturers and vendors.
Prepare FF&E schedules, specifications, and pricing spreadsheets.
Coordinate samples, organize the design library, and maintain project materials.
Attend client meetings, site visits, and contractor coordination meetings.
Assist with construction administration, including reviewing shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and field observations.
Support procurement by preparing purchase orders, tracking orders, and coordinating deliveries.
Help style projects during installations and professional photography.
Maintain organized digital project files and documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design( preferred)
1–3 years of professional experience preferred (new graduates with strong portfolios are encouraged to apply).
Proficiency in AutoCAD required.
Experience with SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced studio environment.
Positive attitude, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
Drivers License
