Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Tax & Bookkeeping Intern and gain hands-on experience in the world of accounting and tax compliance! This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in financial reporting, tax preparation, and client communication while supporting our professional accounting team. You will be actively involved in assisting with bookkeeping tasks, preparing tax documents, and learning about various accounting software tools. If you’re passionate about finance, eager to learn about tax law, and ready to build a foundation for your career, this role is perfect for you!

Responsibilities

Assist with bookkeeping duties using accounting software tools ensure accurate financial records.
Support the preparation of corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
Help gather and organize tax documents, including financial statements for clients
Conduct basic analysis of financial data to support tax reporting and financial statement preparation.
Communicate professionally with management team to gather necessary information and clarify documentation requirements.
Contribute to maintaining organized records of tax documents, reports, and client correspondence.
Support the team in understanding business tax requirements and corporate accounting processes.

Experience

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; prior coursework or experience in public accounting is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Basic understanding of financial concepts including bookkeeping and tax reporting procedures.
Strong math skills with attention to detail.
Excellent client communication skills and a professional attitude when interacting with clients or team members.
Prior experience or knowledge related to tax, finance and/or technical accounting is advantageous but not required.
Demonstrated interest in developing expertise in corporate tax or related areas within finance and accounting fields.
