Full Job Description

Overview

Gen-Systems, part of the Jereh Group, is expanding its Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and hybrid power business across North America. We are looking for a business development professional who has already worked with BESS, hybrid power, or microgrid solutions and understands how multi-megawatt energy projects are evaluated, funded, and delivered.

This role is not transactional equipment sales. It is focused on market access, early engagement, and solution-based power development, supporting customers planning long-term investments in BESS, turbines, and integrated microgrid systems.

Experience supporting data center power projects is a strong plus, but not required. Candidates from energy storage, hybrid power, EPC, utility, or large infrastructure environments are encouraged to apply.

What You Will Do

Develop new business opportunities for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), hybrid power, and microgrid solutions
Engage customers early as they evaluate MW-scale storage and power infrastructure
Leverage existing relationships to identify projects with:
Defined development timelines
Financial backing
Technical readiness for storage or hybrid solutions
Support the business development process from early discussions through opportunity qualification
Collaborate with sales, engineering, and leadership to focus on repeatable, long-term customers
Help build a sustainable pipeline centered on solution-based deployments, not one-off equipment sales

Who This Role Is For

This role is designed for professionals who have worked directly with energy storage or hybrid power systems, including those coming from:

Battery energy storage (BESS) manufacturers or integrators
Hybrid power or microgrid solution providers
EPCs delivering storage or integrated power projects
Power OEMs with direct BESS exposure

Experience selling into data centers, hyperscale, or colocation environments is highly valued, but not mandatory.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of business development, sales, or technical commercial experience
5+ years of direct BESS or energy storage experience (required)
Experience with engineered, multi-megawatt power or storage solutions
Ability to qualify customers based on project readiness and investment capability
Comfortable engaging both technical and commercial stakeholders
Willingness to travel up to 50%
Ability to work hybrid from Houston, TX 77049

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with microgrids, hybrid energy systems, or behind-the-meter solutions
Exposure to data center power, industrial power, or critical facilities
Existing relationships with EPCs, utilities, or infrastructure developers
Technical background with commercial responsibility
