ATG / Java Developer

Job Description & Responsibilities:

– Perform System, Impact and Requirement Analysis
– Effort estimation of deliverables
– Prepare prototype pages of deliverables based on requirements
– Design and modeling of Database of web architecture
– Design front end GUI components and develop them using Java Server Faces (JSF), AngularJS, JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and XML technologies
– Coding of Server side components
– Develop Thunderhead solutions.
– Develop application using MVC Architecture, integrating JSF with Hibernate and spring Frameworks
– Develop web services using SOAP and REST Web services
– Publishing/consume new web services
– Perform Design Review And Code Reviews
– Prepare Unit, Integration and System Testing Test cases and execute them
– Assign tasks to onsite/offshore development team and track them to closure
– Setup Data feed corn jobs
– Conduct daily scrum meetings and deliver enhancements and bugs in sprints at regular Intervals
– Scheduling production support activities like installation upgrade activities and releases
– Production support and maintenance of the applications
– Follow software development life cycle to ensure bug free and high quality product

Accomplishments & Core Competencies Required:

– Expertise in the following – Java, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Hibernate, Thunderhead, Java Security, REST/JSON, Ajax, SOAP, JUnit
– Experience with JDBC, Spring JDBC Templates, JSP and SQL Programming
– Experience with Apache Maven and continuous integration tools
– Experience with Design Patterns and Object Oriented Design.
– Experience with SVN, Jira, Agile,Eclipse, M2E, Mylyn
– Experience with JMX and JMS
– Familiar with Agile Software Development Methodologies (SCRUM).
– Familiar with Test Driven Development (TDD).
– Familiar with Performance analysis tools.
– Familiar with Apache HTTPD, Apache ActiveMQ, Apache Tomcat, Jetty
– JVM Semantics/Garbage Collection knowledge, Application Server (such as JBoss or weblogic) experience
– Proven capability of producing and tuning code that is highly scalable and able to perform reliably over time
– Project and task oriented with a focus on details.
– Good communication and interpersonal skills
