Full Job Description

Cable Connection & Supply (CCS) is a leader in supply chain management and integrated solutions serving telecommunications, utility, and government industries. We are looking for a motivated Junior Purchasing Agent to join our team.

This is an entry-level opportunity with full training provided. No prior experience is required. You will gain the skills and knowledge needed to succeed while making a meaningful contribution to CCS’s operations.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate supplier proposals and analyze offers to ensure value and quality
Assist with negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts under supervision
Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery
Monitor inventory levels, review system data, and maintain reorder points to prevent stock shortages
Submit purchase orders and follow up to ensure timely fulfillment
Review incoming materials for quality and adherence to specifications
Support vendor returns and help resolve order or delivery issues
Maintain accurate purchasing records and reports

Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field is a plus)
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
Basic proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets); familiarity with purchasing software or ERP systems is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Eagerness to learn, proactive attitude, and willingness to take on new challenges
