Full Job Description

Job Summary

FSA Capital is seeking a hands-on Lead Developer to support Nestly, an AI-powered home buying application developed by FSA Capital. Nestly is designed to transform the entire home purchasing journey into a single, streamlined experience. We combine institutional-grade market analytics with a certified vendor network and seamless multi-party communication to help buyers make smarter decisions, close faster, and save more.

The Lead Developer will serve as the technical backbone of the platform— responsible for the architecture, performance, and reliability of an app that guides users through the entire journey. From our AI-powered search engine and real-time pricing analytics to multi-vendor communication hubs and secure transaction workflows, you will build and scale the systems that make Nestly’s one-stop-shop vision a reality. This role is equal parts hands-on coding and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and maintain Nestly’s mobile application (iOS and Android) and supporting backend services, ensuring scalability from launch through rapid user growth.

Job Requirements:

Core technical skills

Full-stack web development experience

React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend development
Python backend experience, ideally Django or Django REST Framework
REST API design and integration experience
PostgreSQL or similar relational database experience
Git/GitHub workflow experience
Ability to work with an existing codebase and improve it without rewriting everything

Mobile skills

Flutter and Dart experience strongly preferred

Experience maintaining iOS and Android apps from a shared codebase
Familiarity with mobile app release workflows is a plus
Experience debugging mobile API/authentication issues is a plus

Backend and infrastructure

Django, Django REST Framework, or similar backend framework

Authentication and role-based access control
PostgreSQL, Redis, background jobs, and scheduled tasks
Cloud deployment experience, preferably AWS
Docker/container experience
CI/CD experience
Environment variable and secrets management

Frontend/dashboard skills

React/Next.js admin dashboard experience

TypeScript
Component-based UI development
Form handling, tables, filters, detail pages, and workflow/status screens
API client integration
Basic UX judgment for operational tools

Product/integration experience

Experience integrating third-party APIs

Email/notification systems
Document upload/signature workflows
Payment or credit-related workflow experience is a plus
Real estate, mortgage, lending, fintech, or marketplace experience is a plus

Compliance/security awareness

Comfort working around sensitive user data

Awareness of privacy, consent, audit trails, and access control
Experience with legal/compliance-heavy products is a plus
Ability to document technical decisions clearly

Soft skills

Startup-friendly, practical, and hands-on

Comfortable cleaning up incomplete or inherited systems
Able to communicate tradeoffs clearly to non-technical teammates
Can work with product/design/legal/business stakeholders
Strong debugging and documentation habits
Can prioritize stability and usability over unnecessary rebuilds

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Flutter/Dart or cross-platform mobile development is strongly preferred. The product includes a Flutter-based buyer mobile app for iOS and Android, alongside a React/Next.js web dashboard and Python/Django backend.
