Kindred Learning Adventures is a growing homeschool community in Northern Virginia offering fun, hands-on learning experiences for PreK–5 homeschool learners.
We are currently seeking 3–4 instructors to teach small groups at our Community School Collective in Woodbridge, Virginia.
We are especially interested in instructors with experience in:
- STEM education, especially robotics, chemistry
- Spanish, Mandarin, Russian, ASL, French
- Physical Education/Martial arts
- Environmental or Earth science
- Animals or Veterinary Science
- Music and instruments
Have another skill, passion, or area of expertise that could make for a meaningful class or workshop? We would love to hear your ideas.
A strong candidate will be:
Energetic, positive, kind, fun, and patient
Supportive of alternative education, including project-based learning and unit studies
Knowledgeable in one or more of the areas listed above
Dependable, punctual, and able to provide their own transportation
Experienced in teaching, tutoring, childcare, or youth programming
Comfortable working with a diverse group of learners and families
Experience with homeschoolers is a big plus.
College students, former or retired teachers, stay-at-home parents, tutors, artists, coaches, and skilled community members are encouraged to apply.
