Position Summary:
The candidate will possess the skills, knowledge and experience to effectively step into a roll as a leader for production, maintenance, safety and shipping operations. The ideal candidate would possess the leadership skills and be able to be interactive with personnel to help them improve upon their abilities and position. Outside communication is required for facility and production needs from a production and operational perspective.

Position Specifics:

Managerial Skills

Handle personnel issues and insure they are documented
Manage Shipping personnel
Manage Maintenance personnel
Manage Safety Training and documentation
Record and report production performance
Employee attendance tracking and discipline

Typical Responsibilities

Ensure grounds maintenance are performed properly by contractors and maintenance
Contact contractors for special needs such as building and machinery repairs/alterations
Communicate with parent company suggestions for employee retention and employee relations opportunities
Make recommendations for process and building improvements
Order some production and maintenance supplies
Production schedule
Prioritization of production
Assignment of production, shipping and maintenance responsibilities.
Safety Program

Leadership skills

Ability to lead personnel
Prioritization of production requirements
Working closely with other departments to meet needs/requirements

Experience

Prefer production/operations management experience with mechanical skills

Complementary Skills/Experience

Managed within a GMP Environment
Knowledgeable in mechanical/electrical terminology as it pertains to machinery
Comfortable in computer usage environment
Experience dealing with MIOSHA
