Full Job Description

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Static Equipment
Location: Freeport, TX
Type: Contract to Direct
Compensation: Depending on experience
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 5 – 8 hours day

System One is e are seeking a high-caliber Mechanical Engineer to join an engineering team in Freeport, TX. This role is a temporary field assignment working in maintenance and service department.

Mechanical Engineer – Static Equipment is responsible for:

Attend vendor and internal team meetings
Specify vessels, columns, tanks, heat exchangers, vessel internals and other static process equipment
Prepare equipment data sheets, and full mechanical equipment and system specifications
Perform technical and economic evaluations, bid tabulations, and prepare recommendations
Attend vendor design and fabrication kickoff meetings
Perform ASME/NBIC/API code repair and alteration calculations as well as FFS evaluations

Mechanical Engineer – Static Equipment Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
5-10 years of static equipment experience for industrial applications
Professional Engineer License
TWIC Card is a plus
Experience in Pipe Stress Analysis using CAESAR II software
Experience working with ASME Section VIII, TEMA, and API Standards for static equipment
Strong Experience with ASME B31.1 and B31.3 Piping Codes
Experience using PRG Solutions Software (FEPipe, NozzlePro, etc.) for Analysis
Experience using HTRI for heat exchanger design and troubleshooting
Experience with COMPRESS pressure vessel design software
Strong attention to detail and capable to perform detailed technical document and drawing checking
