Full Job Description

Job Duties:

Document new data mart requests, modifications and accompanying reports. Develop Cognos 11 complex reports; Work as part of a team on activities such as unit, system and user acceptance testing, data validation, documentation and knowledge transfer; Support improvements in business process and OCFS Data Warehouse reporting to meet OCFS reporting needs; Respond to data requests; Collect and Review requirements and solution alternatives, to-be process maps and other solution design deliverables; Develop design specifications for system applications using Cognos and Oracle database; Analysis, design, coding, program, develop systems/application architectural redesigns, flow charts and work flows, database models and user interfaces using SQL, Cognos; Participating in user meetings to analyze and prepare the reporting and analysis requirements of users; Designed and developed Standard Templates, List Reports, Crosstab Reports, Active reports, Dashboard Reports, Standard Reports, Charts, Drill through Reports, Master-detail & conditional formatting reports; Developed complex reports by using Cognos features Conditional block, Condition Style, Style Variable and render variable while developing reports; Perform Metadata Modeling and publishing of packages using Framework Manager; Analyze and deploy Data from one Environment to another Environment; Deploy systems migration across development and production environment; Document Unit testing, log and resolve defects in the roll out phases; Involved in SIT and UAT testing which include designing and implementing test cases; Install, upgrade, and maintain the platform hardware and operating systems and provision new servers according to company standards; Engineer technical server-based solutions and develop and document implementation plans to meet project requirements; Monitor and respond to system alerts to avoid system outages and participate on team 24×7 on-call rotations in order to provide smooth operations; Managing and scheduling the purchases for hardware and software requirements; Administration and troubleshooting various operations related to Filesystems, Disk Usage, CPU, Memory and IBM servers as required; Implementing and administering TCP/UDP ports and firewall rules as per application and database requirement; Install and
configure IBM Cognos BI administration tools such as Framework Manager, Powerplay Transformer and Cognos 11 Analytics; Implement the security levels in framework manager level; User Security implementation using Cognos Authentication Manager with Active Directory Server; Data Source creation in Cognos Connection, package migration across development and production environment; Application maintenance tasks like reconfiguring content store, User ID creation and maintenance, assigning privileges to objects; Configured Active directory name space to Cognos; Administered tasks such as Scheduling, Deployment, and Dispatchers; Review work of team members, provide suggestions on problem statement articulation; Discussion and coordination with stakeholders and team members to define and document the problem and develop the high-level solution for large/ complex prospects; Review documentation and update documents; Engage in the capacity of an expert to resolve bottlenecks and provide best practices, review output and provide guidance to the managed services team;Designing and developing AI-based automation solutions based on business / IT requirements.

Minimum Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree program or equivalent in Computer Science or related fields of studies such as Information Systems or Computer Engineering, etc. and 3 – 5 years of progressive software/systems, database development and support experiences
