Purpose of the Job
Responsible for the day-to-day bunker requirement of AET (and MISC) ships primarily in the Atlantic in the western hemisphere as well as support similar needs in absence of bunker buyer in Asia. The individual shall work with vessel Operators to ensure that all AET controlled ships and work boats are bunkered in the most efficient manner. This is to be done working in collaboration with commercial, finance and CPSG strategizing annual volumes taking into cognizant vessels trading and optimization. The procurement is expected to be a combination of FFP and spot purchases from a variety of sources, ensuring supply security, optimizing costs and meeting bunkers meet all applicable ISO specs and local requirements.
Shall jointly administer the PO process for the global bunker purchasing for AET, the bunker quality management and testing procedures with third party sample analysis vendors as well as help with formalising bunker dispute resolution for all owned and operated vessels including but not limited to vessels on bareboat, time charter or on ad hoc spot charter.
Work Closely with MISC Finance and Budgeting to forecast most expected price for Fuel and subsequently build yearly Budget numbers.
Key Accountabilities
Minimize price per ton on all bunkers stemmed while maintaining good (direct) supplier relationships) via concurrent bunkering with cargo operations and optimize lead time to fix correctly in relation to market movements ( >60% of the time),
Monitor local conditions to help chartering/operations make correct decisions including awareness of quality problems in various bunker ports to prevent disputes and vessels safety.
Maintain accurate reports of all transactions for benchmarking using all available market tools and platforms and administer SAP/IMOS interface efficiently including timely processing of PO’s and invoices.
Liaise with ship management on development of systematic dispute resolution program and collaborate with counterpart in Asia to optimize fuelling options.
Collaborate with ship-manager, establishing periodical speed, consumption and emission data for business used both in marketing of assets and update of IMOS 6 monthly and support commercial on speed, consumption and emission including but not limited to vessels CII, AER and other GHG benchmarking.
Maintain register of historical data to make meaningful analysis helping Commercial team to make better strategy.

Qualifications
Edcation: Technical, Engineering or Environmental Degree with experience in Logistics or Business
Professional Certification: none
Experience: 4+ years working for either a Bunker Broker or Ship Owner. Would have worked for shipping company, for a bunker trading company or for a physical supplier.
Specialized knowledge: Understanding of the bunker market, familiarization with standard ISO fuel specs, some knowledge of Contract Terms and familiarity with MARPOL Annex VI Regulations; GHG strategies and decarbonization, insider knowledge of experience of working for a physical supplier. Negotiation, Ability to make quick decisions, Salesmanship, willingness to stand up for bunker priorities.
