Full Job Description

Hiring in the following states: Arizona, California, Idaho, Louisiana, North Carolina, Oregon, and Washington.

Overview

The Takeoff & Modeling Analyst I supports Takeoff & Scope Services by assisting with the development of 3D HVAC models from customer-provided construction documents. This role focuses on learning BidWorkz modeling standards, following established workflows, maintaining organized project documentation, and contributing to Bid Package deliverables used for contractor bidding, estimating, and downstream project planning.

This is a task-based support role intended for candidates developing technical proficiency in HVAC modeling, construction document review, and model-driven scope development.

Responsibilities

Assist in building and modifying 3D HVAC models from construction drawings.
Follow established modeling standards, workflows, file structures, and naming conventions.
Support creation of Bid Package components, including 2D/3D model snapshots, item lists, and material summaries.
Review drawings and specifications to identify missing, incomplete, or conflicting information.
Maintain organized project files, documentation, and supporting records.
Complete assigned modeling or documentation tasks within established timelines.
Communicate progress, questions, blockers, and issues to the Takeoff Account Manager or assigned project lead.
Support internal consistency by following documented processes and quality expectations.

Requirements

Experience

0–3 years of experience in HVAC, construction, estimating, modeling, drafting, or related field preferred.
Entry-level candidates with relevant education, trade exposure, or technical training may be considered.

Technical Knowledge

Basic understanding of construction drawings preferred.
Exposure to HVAC systems, ductwork, sheet metal, or mechanical construction is a plus.
Interest in modeling, preconstruction workflows, and scope development.

Software

Microsoft Office.
Bluebeam or similar PDF software preferred.
AutoCAD, Autodesk Fabrication, Revit, or similar modeling software preferred.

Skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to follow structured workflows and documented processes.
Organized and consistent with file/document management.
Willingness to learn technical tools and internal standards.
Clear communication when asking questions or reporting progress.
Dependable task completion and responsiveness to direction.

Performance Expectations

Produces accurate work aligned with internal standards.
Completes assigned tasks on time.
Maintains organized documentation and project files.
Identifies obvious gaps or conflicts and escalates appropriately.
Demonstrates steady progress in understanding modeling tools, HVAC systems, and BidWorkz workflows.

Workload Expectation

Supports 1–2 active projects at a time.
May support up to 3 projects depending on task complexity.
Works primarily on assigned tasks under direction.
