ASML US, including its affiliates and subsidiaries, bring together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. As a Customs Specialist at ASML, you play a critical role in ensuring compliance with global import and export regulations. Your work helps keep our advanced technology moving across borders, supporting ASML’s mission to enable the world’s leading chipmakers to create faster, smaller, and more energy-efficient microchips. By safeguarding trade compliance, you contribute directly to the success of cutting-edge semiconductor technology that powers modern electronics.

Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will manage operational trade compliance and support continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with global teams to maintain regulatory adherence, streamline processes, and drive data-driven decision-making.

As a Customs Specialist, you will:

Manage import and export filings to ensure compliance with international regulations
Review Customs and export requirements and strengthen internal controls
Prepare and update training materials for import/export compliance
Maintain and improve internal procedures and presentations
Develop and implement new compliance processes and project plans
Conduct audits to verify adherence to trade regulations
Support Duty Drawback processes and global improvement projects
Perform data analysis to identify trends, improve compliance efficiency and support reporting
Coordinate cross-functional projects, ensuring timelines, scope and quality goals are met
Up to 10% travel annually within the US and internationally

Education and Experience

As a Customs Specialist, you will need:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related field; or equivalent years of work experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in trade compliance and/or customs operations; or other relevant experience
Customs broker license preferred
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
Experience with data analysis tools; Spotfire experience preferred
Project management experience is a plus

Other Information

A flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees working in roles conducive to remote work (up to 2 days a week)

There is potential for exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage and currents.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
