Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse with OBGYN background to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients across various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Perform nursing procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, and wound care.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards.
Provide specialized care in areas such as critical care, pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, or emergency medicine as needed.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Experience in acute care settings; prior hospital experience is preferred.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is advantageous.
Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and basic life support (BLS) certification.
Strong assessment skills with the ability to perform diagnostic evaluations and physical examinations.
Experience with specialized treatments including botulinum toxin treatment, dialysis, or pain management is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Background in long-term care, assisted living, or home health is beneficial.
Understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
