Full Job Description

Front Office Receptionist

We prefer a candidate with at 3 years of medical office experience.

General Purpose of this Position is to answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, answer questions, or direct patients/callers to appropriate parties, and check in arriving patients.
In addition to the aforementioned, this position is also responsible for maintaining accurate and updated patient contact information as well as processing payments from patients.
Must be able to work the following hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM AND every other Saturday 9 AM - 12 PM
Schedule patient appointments.
Greeting all arriving vendors and visitors and verifying credentials
Greet and check in all patients for appointments
Verifying contact information and run insurance eligibility for patients.
Process payments via credit card terminal and/or cash payments.
Opening and closing the cash drawer and balancing each day.
Opening and logging daily mail, processing any payments received through mail.
Other duties as assigned by Office Manager.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality within the clinic.
You will hear, see and read things that are confidential and you must be able to comply with Paragould Family Care, PA’s Confidentiality Agreement as well as the HIPPA ACT of 1996 Problem Solving

Education and/or Experience - Minimum of High School Degree, experience with operating a switchboard, phone, and credit card processing terminals and handling money.
Language Skills - Ability to read, write, and comprehend correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, patients, other employees and the general public.
Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide currency and balance cash drawer with use of tools.
Give correct change when dealing with cash payments.
Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Google Mail and Calendar, Excel Spreadsheet software, Microsoft Word, accurate keyboard skills Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - None, Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
