Full Job Description

Mazza Recycling is a leader in sustainable waste management, dedicated to environmental stewardship and innovation in recycling. As a Maintenance Technician at our state-of-the-art Material Recovery Facility (MRF) Plant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our recycling equipment and systems. This overnight position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, family-friendly environment that values safety, professional growth, and teamwork. Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility equipment and recycling machinery to ensure optimal operation.
Conduct regular cleaning of systems and equipment to maintain safety and efficiency standards.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues as they arise.
Carry out preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
Operate facility equipment, including forklifts and loaders, in accordance with all safety protocols.
Follow standard operating procedures and mandated guidelines for equipment operation and maintenance.
Promptly report any incidents or equipment malfunctions to management.
Complete additional tasks as assigned by the MRF Plant Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
Experience with mechanical repair in an industrial setting.
Welding skills (MIG, Stick, Cutting), preferably with mechanical equipment.
Forklift certification and ability to operate heavy equipment.
Heavy equipment certification.
Ability to operate a loader preferred, but not required.
Capable of handling physical workload, including working outdoors and overnight shifts.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
