Pronto AI is a global leader in commercializing autonomous vehicle (AV) technology, deploying Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS) that automate operations in mines, quarries, and construction sites worldwide. While much of the industry remains in R&D, we deliver real, production-ready autonomy that is already operating in the field.

We are on a mission to make mining operations safer, smarter, and more efficient through cutting-edge technology, and we are building toward becoming the world's first profitable AV technology company.

What you'll do

We are looking for entrepreneurial Test Operators to help us revolutionize the mining and quarrying industries. We give our Operators a wide range of responsibilities / opportunities to help us develop and roll-out our autonomous technologies to the world.

This is not a standard driving position - it's an opportunity for highly capable, motivated professionals to be part of a technology team that is moving fast, is inventing the future of haulage, and asks a lot of its team members.

Serving as Safety Drivers in our autonomous off-road haul trucks at our customer deployments in our various locations across the US.
Working directly with our engineering teams to test and provide feedback on new technologies / features
When necessary, operating other heavy equipment, such as excavators, loaders, and / or bulldozers
Assisting with the development and testing of our off-road autonomous technologies
Following and helping to refine / further develop safety protocols
Performing routine equipment inspections and light maintenance
Maintaining accurate operating records

What we're looking for

An entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to be part of an early stage, deep tech startup that is inventing the future of the mining and quarrying industries
Professional driving experience of at least 3-5 years, either off-road or on-road, with a clean safety record
Experience with mining and / or quarrying operations preferred
Experience operating other heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, loaders, bulldozers) preferred
Willingness to travel as necessary and work occasional nights / weekends
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in demanding, fast-paced environments
Based in Arizona, Florida, Texas or Wyoming

What else you need to know

As a company driven by innovation and continuous change, close collaboration is essential. We're constantly reimagining our industry, creating new products, and refining our processes, and we do our best work together. While this role is remote, travel to our various field sites across the US is a critical part of this operation.

The base salary range for this role is $66,000-$78,000 per year and will vary based on location.

Actual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package. You may also be eligible for equity awards and an annual performance-based bonus.
