Full Job Description

We are a fun group in a somewhat expanding practice. We are looking to grow the practice and would like to find the right individual to help make those leaps. We do not offer the restraints of a corporate facility which allows for a leader with an entrepreneurial mindset to organize in a way they seem fit.

We are seeking an optical manager to lead a team, structure the office to meet the needs and goals of the practice, and deliver key metrics by executing an amazing customer experience. It is rare to meet someone that fits this role with optical experience. We are more interested in someone that has the skills to manage a retail-like space while learning the optical knowledge over time.

QUALIFICATIONS

Leadership experience preferred
Ability to create and manage a team
Outstanding leader, communicator, and motivator
Strong sales skills and understanding of basic marketing
Experience with operational and analytical business knowledge
Ability to multitask and manage time

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Able to analyze financial data and make the necessary steps to improve profitability.
Provides appropriate training and motivation to team members to meet team goals.
Recruit, hire, train and motivate a team to help meet the goals of the practice.
Conducts regular meetings to keep staff up-to-date and motivated to perform their duties.
Partners with the practice manager to build business and evolve the practice locations.
Ensures the patients experience is perfect through staff interaction, great communication, and a clean, well-organized space.
Create SOPs that allows the team to perform their daily tasks efficiently yet accurately.
Manage inventory to reduce theft, paperwork errors, and waste.
Create a training program to keep the team proficient in their expected duties.
Perform performance reviews to keep the staff aware of their strengths and opportunities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

ABO Certification
NCLE Certification
Lensometry experience
Experience with retail sales
