Full Job Description

Extension is seeking a Payroll Manager for a contract (open to contract to hire/direct hire for the right candidate) opportunity with one of our clients located in Milwaukee, WI.

Key Objectives / Role Responsibilities

Lead and oversee payroll operations for 8k multi-state employees.
Manage, mentor, and develop payroll team, serving as the primary resource for complex payroll matters.
Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
Oversee payroll tax reporting, audits, and payroll system administration while identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to resolve payroll issues, provide reporting and analysis, and support payroll-related projects and initiatives.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of payroll supervising experience required
Multi-state payroll experience required
In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and GAAP as it relates to payroll
Experience with payroll software

Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
