Full Job Description

At SAC Educational Services, LLC, we believe our employees deserve an exceptional experience, and that starts with accurate, timely payroll. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join our team and support our payroll operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.

As a Payroll Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately across a complex employee population. You will work directly with the Human Resources team to maintain payroll records, respond to employee inquiries, and assist with payroll administration. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees across the organization.

This is a full-time remote position requiring a high level of accountability, discretion, and follow-through.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Review payroll data for discrepancies and proactively identify and resolve issues prior to payroll processing.
Respond promptly and professionally to employee payroll questions via email and other communication channels.
Maintain payroll records, employee earnings, deductions, and tax-related information.
Assist with employee onboarding and off-boarding as it relates to payroll and compensation.
Support audits, reporting, and payroll reconciliations.
Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll and compensation information at all times.
Document payroll procedures and assist with process improvements as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned in support of payroll and People Operations.

Requirements

1-3 years of payroll, HR, accounting, or related administrative experience.
Bachelor's degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. An Associate's degree with relevant payroll and HR experience may be considered.
Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
Highly organized with excellent time management and follow-up skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines.
Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
Experience with payroll systems required; experience with BambooHR is preferred but not required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace preferred.

Reporting

Position reports to the Executive VP of Human Resources

Position Type

Full-time position.
Expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Additional hours may occasionally be required during payroll processing periods.
