Full Job Description

PayPros is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person to join our payroll service team in Rockledge.

In this position, you will work directly with business clients to collect payroll information, process payroll accurately, answer questions, and help resolve payroll-related issues. You do not need previous payroll experience. We provide comprehensive training for the right candidate.

This is a good opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, helping customers, learning new computer systems, and managing several responsibilities in a professional office environment.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
An optional four-day workweek may be available
This is an in-office position in Rockledge, Florida

Applicants must have reliable transportation and be able to commute consistently to our Rockledge office.

Responsibilities

Communicate with business clients by telephone and email
Collect payroll hours, earnings, deductions, and other payroll information
Enter and review payroll data for accuracy
Verify payroll totals before payrolls are finalized
Help clients meet payroll processing deadlines
Answer client questions about payroll and related services
Research and resolve payroll discrepancies
Assist with employee deductions, garnishments, and tax notices
Communicate with federal, state, and local agencies when necessary
Research payroll, tax, and system-related issues
Maintain accurate client records
Protect confidential employee and business information
Participate in training and assist with special projects as needed
Provide dependable, professional service that strengthens client relationships

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
College degree is not required
Strong computer skills
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to stay organized and manage multiple deadlines
Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
Ability to learn new software and procedures
Professional and helpful approach to customer service
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

Previous payroll, banking, accounting, bookkeeping, administrative, or customer-service experience is helpful but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting pay is $16.75 per hour.
