<Job Overview>
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will manage various accounting functions, ensure accurate financial record-keeping, and support our dealership’s financial operations with precision and professionalism. Your expertise in accounting software and financial concepts will help keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently.

<Duties>

Automotive dealership experience is a must
Perform accounts payable and receivable processing, ensuring timely payments and collections
Registration and titling of motor vehicles
Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
Enter data accurately into accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
Manage payroll processing using systems like ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, or Kronos, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations
Assist with month-end closing procedures, journal entries, and account analysis
Maintain detailed records of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance standards
Support internal audits and prepare documentation for governmental or external audits as needed<Skills>
Proven experience with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, Workday, or similar platforms
Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and governmental accounting standards
Knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and technical accounting practices
Familiarity with payroll management systems such as ADP, Paychex, UltiPro or Kronos
Ability to perform detailed data entry, account reconciliation, and journal entries with high accuracy
Excellent math skills combined with strong analytical abilities for account analysis and budgeting
Experience with accounts payable/receivable processes and tax-related accounting tasks
