JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Financial Analyst

Department: Administration

Reports To: Plant Controller

FLSA Status: Exempt

Tex‑Tech is a leader in the research, development, and manufacturing of innovative, high‑performance materials. We are looking to add a Financial Analyst to support our financial operation.

Position Summary:

The Financial Analyst provides essential financial planning, reporting, and analysis to support Tex‑Tech’s operations. This role develops budgets and forecasts, prepares monthly financial reports, performs variance analyses, and supports month‑ and year‑end accounting activities. The analyst also maintains balance sheet reconciliations, assists with cash forecasting, and contributes to performance improvement initiatives. Reporting to the Site Controller, this position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel and ERP systems.

Compensation: $80K - $85K

Key Responsibilities

Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to management.
Develop annual plans & quarterly projections.
Produce monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results (sales, GM, COGS, SG&A), and variance reporting.
Complete month/year-end general ledger closing entries and reporting.
Maintain balance sheet account reconciliation responsibilities.
Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization.
Stay up to date with changes to accounting standards.
Ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
3-5+ years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, general accounting, Treasury and related areas.
Skillful in Excel (power pivot/pivot tables, advanced formulas, data interrogation and presentation), as well as ERP/platform experience (e.g. SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, BPCS, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience with BPCS / PRMS (AS400 based ERP and GL).
CMA or CPA qualified, or equivalent experience.
SOX experience preferred, not required.
Working knowledge of general ledger accounting within a manufacturing operation.
Experience with variance analyses (Opex, SG&A, Sales/Volume, Margin).
Familiarity with banking, bank reconciliations, cash forecasting, and related activities.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Site Controller and has no supervisory responsibilities.

Travel

Domestic travel on a limited basis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedures, and work instructions in English.
Ability to complete basic reports and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers in English.
Ability to perform basic math, including measurements and simple algebra.
Ability to follow written, verbal, or diagrammed instructions and troubleshoot routine issues in English.

Compensation

Salary is commensurate with experience.
